STARGAZING PALETTE

Hi everyone,
hope you’re all somewhere warm and cosy since everyone at our house are under the weather. I’ve been adding goji berries to my apple & elderflower tea and it’s really helping my sore throat, or so I make myself believe as the comfort of a hot drink is relief enough for me.
But what were here for today is of course the introduction of my newest creation:
The Stargazing Palette.
A palette of 6 heavenly colours. Always inspired by the luminaries in our skies and the age old practice of astrology I decided to name them Sun, Moon and Rising. Northern Lights, Solar Storm and Meteor Shower are here as well to accompany our big 3.
I made these swatches for our newsletter and to my surprise they were looking like tiny moonphases mid-drying. It’s giving tiger’s eye but make it celestial. My shimmers were hinting during the experimentation process that they had a smidge of granulation but I thought it was due to my watercolour paper which had a rough ground. As they have little ridges and valleys where the paint can settle and puddle together. But now that I’m using this hot pressed Arches paper it’s obvious that the two darker colors definitely show granulation.
To give you a small introduction, your big 3 are the Sun, Moon and Rising signs and where they were present during your time of birth. If you were here when I released the Constellations and Celestial Palette, you might be familiar with my love for the signs and their mystique. I’m not by any means an astrologer nor is my life guided by the placement of the stars but I always found it fascinating and a source of inspiration. How can your thoughts not wander and fantasize with Linda Goodman describing a baby born under the sign of cancer as a moon child? This description alone makes my mind wander off and dream about starry lunarscapes.

I had a poll in my Story asking when would be the best time to open slots for this palette’s Pre-Orders and it got down to 50% now and 50% end of this month. I always try to accommodate and how about we open slots this evening for our early birds. I’ll keep the slots open for 7 days. This also gives me an indication on quantity and helps me calculate materials accordingly as everything is made to order.

Please remember Pre-Orders can take up to 2-3 months of curing and drying before shipping. New palettes are only available as a set of half pans or full pans.
